Local songwriter Chris Reed plays folk, pop, reggae and blues, but what ties it all together is a joyful, inspirational feeling. Makes sense. When he's not strumming his guitar, he's teaching kids. This Friday at the Montalvo Arts Center, Reed brings together his two passions in the music video he's premiering for his tune, "We Are One," produced in collaboration with hundreds of South Bay kids—ranging from newborns to eighth-graders. They sing, play instruments or do both. He hopes the video will motivate kids and adults alike to be more creative. He will also perform a 60-minute set of his material. Mixed-media artist Tulio Flores will have his work on display. (Aaron Carnes)
