Description
Sutter Health will be coming to the center to do Cholesterol (full fasting lipid panal) and Glucose screenings. This is a great way for us to learn more about the state of health inside our body that keeps us going- and which we commonly tend to take for granted. The cost is 40. We will be serving food because you will be fasting the night before having your blood drawn.

Nurses will be on-site to provide laboratory-accurate results for a complete lipid panel, and blood glucose, which is all one test. A complete lipid panel measures three different kinds of lipids in the blood: LDL, HDL and triglycerides, all of which are related to cholesterol, a type of fat. LDL, or low-density lipoprotein, is known as the "bad" cholesterol. Too much LDL cholesterol can clog the arteries, increasing your risk of heart attack and stroke. HDL, or high-density lipoprotein, is known as the "good" cholesterol because it carries cholesterol away from the arteries.
