Chloe Jean (Feat. FatheR BrotheR Sun)
Award winning singer songwriter Chloe Jean recently performed to a sold-out house of 250 riveted fans at her CD release party. “That may be the best show by a new artist I’ve ever seen!” said Bettina Devin, celebrity actor/singer /performer. Model-turned-singer Chloe Jean has been making waves in the San Francisco bay area music scene with her debut album “FREAK.” Since coming on to the scene in late 2014 she has already achieved a string of accolades including:
• 1st place, WCS International Songwriting Contest for her single “What Could Be Better.”
• Top song of 2014 “Black Sheep” featured on Women of Substance Radio for her single “Black Sheep.”
• Winner “Best Song of the Month” for “Fall Back” on Songwriter Universe.
• Runner up for “Best R&B Song” WCS International Songwriting Contest for “Black Sheep.”
• Sold out EP release party at The Hawthorn in San Francisco
• Sold out CD release party at the Fenix in San Rafael
• Front page show announcement Benicia Herald
• Radio Interview on Bay Area Radio 89.5 FM
Chloe draws inspiration for her songs from a unique and compelling background. The daughter of lesbian mothers and the only child of color in an all-girl Catholic school she found solace in songwriting at an early age. She grew up to be a track star at UC Berkeley and professional model for elite modeling agency Ford Models New York. Despite her success in the modeling world, she always knew she would return to her passion as a singer/songwriter. The result is her debut record “FREAK”, a collection of catchy, soulful songs co-written and produced by Grammy nominated writer/producer Scott Urquhart. Her live performance is riveting. She instantly captures an audience with her natural charm, then blows them away with her incredible vocal ability. She is a legitimate Diva!
Father Brother Sun, also known as FRBRS or FBS, is an 11 piece band with four main vocalists, and a horn & rhythm section. They are a wonderful fusion of funk, hip hop, r & b, rock, and soul music. The band was forged together by band leader Atiim Chenzira to highlight the vocals and song writing of Chloe Jean, Freedom Bean, Ali Hammad, and himself. These vocalists bring a diverse range of original compositions to every show. FBS also re-interprets cover material, bringing a sound reminiscent of Sly & The Family Stone, and Tower of Power, among others, to the stage. Their stage presence is magnetic, and energetic, soulful, and captivating.
FBS began playing around the Bay Area in early 2014 to support Atiim Chenzira's newest body of work, 'Aspectz Of Me: (Vol. A & B)', a double album of 22 tracks. Later in the year, Chloe Jean released her newest album, titled 'Freak', and the band has been incorporating this body of work into their live shows. In late 2014, FRBRS entered Skyline Studios in Oakland to record live versions of Chloe Jean's, and Atiim's original songs, as well as Ali Hammad's latest single, 'Sang'. FRBRS also recorded a few cover tunes, preparing for more live performances in 2015.

Chickenhead Johnson
To consider local SF Bay Area MC, singer and songwriter Ryan Greene a prolific artist would be an understatement. Since the mid-80’s, Bay Area native, Ryan Greene has devoted his life path to music and for this, has reaped the benefits of being a tenacious and charismatic staple in the Bay Area music scene. Making the transition from graffiti writer, to graphic artist, and now arranger, composer, producer, singer and emcee, Ryan Greene is an all-in-one package, with talent and skill that begs for comparison.
Golden Shelltoes (self released), Ryan’s debut solo album, is the mark of three + years of writing, composing, designing, collaborating and many sleepless nights spent in the solitude of his personal recording studio. The result? An album that boasts star power, expert production and is as much hip hop, as it is blues, old school, r&b, soul and dirty funk.
Ryan has played successful Golden Shelltoes live shows with Digital Underground, Das EFX, Tom Greene, Canibus, Devin The Dude, Bun B, Gift Of Gab, Bang Data, The Jazz Mafia, Z man from One Block Radius, Raw Deluxe, Felonius, Zeph and Azeem, Living Legends (Various groups and solo acts), Broun Felinis, Oakland Faders, Stymie and the Pimp Jones Love Orchestra, Lunar Heights, Crown City Rockers, Marc Stretch and many more SF Bay Area greats.
Chickenhead Johnson is Ryan Greene's newest dedication. It was created with Jamie Way (Press Rewind, Quannum) as the producer. The tracks took 3 years to finalize and forming the band took even longer. It was hard for Ryan to stop employing mercenary players for his shows since the music was so flamboyant and complex. Ryan created a new persona to front the new band by emulating his father, a gospel singer from Kentucky and wearing outrageous costumes, something you don't see often in the SF Bay Area. This ridicules persona allows Ryan to shine by singing confidently instead of just rapping. Chickenhead is telling a new story of redemption and hope through comedy all wrapped up in a modern, tongue-in-cheek rock star showcase. While bridging the gaps between hip hop and other forms of music such as blues, funk, country, rock and early jazz the focus is on showmanship with this great new, genre bending burlesque style live show. Chickenhead Johnson's new live band line up is eager to tour this summer and take on new fans overseas in the near future.
"Ryan Greene has long been an energetic force in bridging the gap between the live musician community and the beats & rhymes contingent...a versatile and talented artist with interesting musical ideas."
