Have you ever wondered how your favorite cartoon characters come to life? Now's your chance to finally learn how! Together under the guidance of John Heebink, your child can learn how to draw them. This event is open to children ages 6-10. Paper and pencil will be available for each child. We ask that you please accompany your child to the event. In addition, please keep in mind that this event has limited spacing.
About the Artist
JOHN HEEBINK has worked as a cartoonist for websites, coloring books, and comic books. As a teacher at the Academy of Art, he has taught kids from all over the world. In addition, he can draw any Disney character you can name! He has been working in comics since 1990, mainly as a penciler or inker. His current project is Stuart Moore's "Out with a Bang" for the new online comic publisher and app Stēla. His credits include: the first two runs of Power Rangers, Nick Fury, Quasar, a long run on Elvira, Rick Remender's Doll and Creature, and Peter David's Soulsearchers & Co.
