Description

On Wednesday, May 19th at 7:00 pm City Lights will be hosting a very special event celebrating the release of Absence of the Hero: Uncollected Stories and Essays by Charles Bukowski. Absence of the Hero contains much of Bukowski's earliest fiction, unseen in decades, as well as a number of previously unpublished stories and essays. Editor David Calonne will be joined in conversation by Garrett Caples, along with readings from Stephen Elliott and Daphne Gottlieb.
