Character Day

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Copresented with The Moxie Institute Films

What determines your character? Who do you admire? How can we reflect who we are, and who we want to be?

Join us for the second annual Character Day, a global event organized by filmmaker Tiffany Shlain and Let It Ripple: Mobile Films for Global Change, a nonprofit specializing in free “cloud films” made collaboratively with people all over the world. Character Day launched in 2014 with the global premiere of The Science of Character, a film exploring the neuroscience and social science behind the idea that we can shape who we are. Millions of people participated in the day, with screenings in over 1,500 schools and organizations, a 24-hour online Q&A, and online discussion materials to catalyze deeper conversations about character development.

See the film that started the movement, and visit letitripple.org to learn more—and add your perspective to the global conversation. #CharacterDay

Led by Tiffany Shlain, Emmy-nominated filmmaker and founder of The Webby Awards, The Moxie Institute Film Studio + Lab has had four films premiere at Sundance and has won over 70 awards. Three of their films have been selected by The U.S. State Department to screen at embassies around the world as part of the American Film Showcase.
