Opening Reception for Ruth and her artists Friday, January 8th, 6 to 8pm. Show will be on view through February 27th, 2016
Ruth Braunstein is a much respected and beloved icon in the Bay Area art community. She opened her first gallery in Tiburon in 1961, then relocated shortly thereafter to San Francisco where she operated the esteemed Braunstein/Quay gallery in San Francisco until its closing fifty years later in 2011.
In appreciation of her continuing enthusiasm for supporting and promoting art within our community, we are excited to have an exhibition with artists from her original program. Artists include Tom Bolles, Robert Brady, Bean Finneran, Gyongy Laky, Cork Marcheschi, Grace Munakata, Craig Nagasawa and Richard Shaw. We look forward to this festive event in collaboration with Ruth and her artists.
