"Every jazz gig we have, he comes," says Maxwell Borkenhagen, artistic director of Cafe Stritch. "He is one of our biggest proponents." The "Bay Area's Jazz Ambassador" is turning 60. To celebrate, Stritch is throwing him a party, which will feature a live performance of Miles Davis' quadruple-platinum masterpiece, "Kind of Blue," and a free-form jazz jam.
