Carl Craig is described as a creative visionary, an electronic music icon, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for
his native Detroit. Yet the common thread that runs through Craig's broad musical
canon and creative projects is a resounding fascination with futurism. The prolific
producer has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader,
guided by his tendency toward forward thinking.
MAX GARDNER
Max's sound lies in a realm encompassing playful minimal and house to deep, textural techno and experimental productions. His selections, mixing, and enthusiasm create an energizing vibe for the crowd to feast from. He frequently performs at San Francisco’s most celebrated nightclubs and undergrounds, and has made appearances in Las Vegas, Colorado, Black Rock City, and throughout Arizona. Max is also Co-founder of the Direct To Earth (DTE) event series based out of Oakland, CA. In the past few years DTE has become responsible for bringing some of techno's most innovative talents to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Max has performed at shows featuring a variety of artists including Dustin Zahn, Luke Hess, Marc Houle, Heiko Laux, Mike Dehnert, Pig & Dan, Tim Xavier, Joris Voorn, Troy Pierce, Nick Warren, Max Cooper, Jay Tripwire, Evil Eddie Richards, and Echospace among many others. He's also released his first EP with Seeder and saw it reach the Beatport minimal charts. Max feels out the dancefloor. He can sense what they want. Sometimes he plays raw, gritty, heavy and experimental; other times it's more inviting, friendly, and groovy. While pushing the limits and trying new things, he commonly sneaks original productions into his DJ sets.

Bob Five more dead than alive, always with the rare grooves and bringing you the heat. DTE resident and Founder of Black Magic Disko, Bob Five has hit the bay area by storm. Stirring up parties and collaborations while bringing an eclectic and wide range of sounds, he is jumpstarting the scene in a major way.

The Bay Area native and Direct to Earth co-founder wasn't always into Techno or House.
Brian first became interested in DJing watching DJs on BET's 106 and park.
Only being in 6th Grade at the time, Brian set out to Find a record store that had good Rap but instead met Trance and Progressive, soon enough 106 and Park was a distant memory as time after school was sucked away by the record store.
Brian played with production software hours on end throughout High school, College and while writing for his ex-band "Systems Octopus". It wasn't until Brian was 20 that he started listening to Minimal, Techno and Deep House and its influence on him lead him to take beat making more seriously and into a focused setting. Releasing and remixing for labels the likes of Fierce Animals Recordings, Kabutomushi, Istmo Music, Rough Rabbit Recordings, Gynoid Audio and Mizumo Music.
