Campbell Poetry Circle Workshops

SEE EVENT DETAILS
In the Community Poetry Circle we'll write new poems in a creative and supportive environment. This writing group is appropriate for all levels of experience - from beginners to advanced poets - and all ages.

This poetry writing group is for you if you:
- Have always wanted to write poetry, but don't know how to begin.
- Have a story to tell...we all do.
- Enjoy language and want to have fun!

Reading a variety of renowned poets, participants will explore the writing craft and generate new works. By focusing on what's true in our poems, we will push past our perceived limits and achieve new dimensions within our work.

Poet-teacher Magdalena Montagne has helped hundreds of people find their inner muse, leading poetry writing groups for over a decade, currently with the Santa Cruz Public Library and the Capitola Book Cafe; as well as with nonprofits such as the Homeless Services Center and Watsonville Community Hospital. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, she has studied with distinguished poets such as Robert Bly, Sharon Olds, and Robert Hass.

This free workshop is offered on the first Wednesday of the month, every other month. We invite you to come to any or all of the workshops.
