Call to Action: LGBTQ Issues Post-Marriage Equality

Explore the continuing issues facing the LGBTQ after Marriage Equality passed in 2015 by a panel of advocates and activists. Issues include work place & housing discrimination, adoption discrimination, Trans Equality, LGBTQ youth support, rise in violence against LGBTQ and more. Featured speakers: Kris Hayashi, Transgender Law Center; and Dr. Amy Sueyoshi, San Francisco State University; and Robert Nakatani, ACLU LGBT & Aids Project (retired).

TADAIMA Bay Area offers a series of pre-events to gather LGBTQQ & Allies in various Japanese American communities throughout Northern California to share the diverse stories and experiences of LGBTQQ, to open up dialogue, and raise awareness. TADAIMA will convene a 1-day conference on Saturday, April 2nd at San Jose State University. The one-day conference seek to explore the intersections of the LGBTQQ experience for Japanese Americans and how it impacts their daily lives, cultural identity, family relationships, and faith perspective.
