California Film Institute

California Film Institute’s (CFI) mission is to celebrate film, video and moving image as art and education. As a non-profit arts organization, the Film Institute seeks to provide greater interaction between the general public and the cinematic artistic community, from a local level to the world at large.

CFI is committed to ensuring that all cinematic arts: film, video, new media and all other moving image art forms are showcased in ongoing programmatic efforts through three core programs: the annual Mill Valley Film Festival, the year-round Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center, and the on-going community CFI Outreach. Through these programs, CFI is committed to bringing diverse world cultures and new ideas to the San Francisco Bay Area community.
