Description
“Cali Cruzin” is a cool name and everything, but with Tribal Seeds, Through the Roots and Stick Figure as the featured groups, shouldn’t this be called “The Horticulture Tour” or something? Whatever, the real question is: what in Jah’s name is going on in San Diego? It’s home to Tribal Seeds, who have revitalized the intersection of reggae and rock, turning the tables on Sting by giving the Jamaican sound a fair shake. Scenemates Through the Roots also like a strong dose of rock in their reggae. Stick Figure is another interesting SD reggae outfit, although more traditional—by comparison, anyway.
