The museum hosts a variety of ongoing, hands-on exhibits for kids. Exhibits include "Bubbalogna," "Current Connections," "Secrets of Circles" and "WaterWays."

Once-a-month 5K, 10K, 15K runs and 5K walk event. Meets at the Oakland Parks and Rec. Department. Fourth Sun of every month, 9am.

Teens and adults are invited to learn how to knit or crochet. Needles and crochet hooks provided. Free.
