Caitlin O’Connell: The Secret Lives of Elephants

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Caitlin O’Connell has spent 20 years studying elephant communication and culture. Author of The Elephant’s Secret Sense, The Elephant Scientist, An Elephant’s Life and the Smithsonian Channel documentary Elephant King, she reveals groundbreaking information about elephants’ intelligence (how they “listen” through their limbs) and discusses the relationship between humans and elephants as neighbors vying for the same resources on an increasingly crowded planet.

Constanza Jewelry will be on display and proceeds will be donated to Save the Elephants.

"[Caitlin O'Connell] evokes the mystery of these gray and wrinkly but beautiful beasts, all the while reminding us of their sensitivities, their loyalties, and their wild nature."
