Building Focus in Children

Teachers, professionals, and parents are invited to learn hands-on, next day activities that will exercise areas of the brain that are related to all of our cognitive functions. We’ll partner up and do hands-on learning of hands-on activities:
- specific activities (games!) to use now to improve attention and focus
- techniques for how to get kids to remember what they need to do after being told only once!
- activities easily adaptable to kids of all ages
- and with discussion of how to trigger your brain to make long lasting connections
Presenters: DLS’s Sheila Cliff, MA, Special Education and MA, Psychology, and Susan Kohen, MA Education and Certified Educational Therapist. Cliff and Kohen taught in the UC Extension Education Therapy Program and later developed Mindful Play, a program for classroom teachers to enhance attention and focus.
