This beautiful Center houses the BCA Center for Buddhist Education, the Institute of Buddhist Studies, and a Buddhist Bookstore. Additionally, there are offices of the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha and Ryukoku University whose headquarters and main campus are located in Kyoto, Japan, respectively.
Each of these entities, while developing and pursuing their own individual programs, will also work together towards a common goal of bringing Jodo Shinshu Shin Buddhism to the forefront of American society.

The BCA Bookstore in Berkeley sells Buddhist merchandise, implements, a large selection of high-quality Japanese incense, books, scrolls, meditation cushions, and many other goods.
We’re primarily a Shin Buddhist bookstore, but we feature the largest selection of Buddhist books not readily found in any other store.
Books, CDs, Audios, DVDs, by well-known teachers/scholars/authors such as Pema Chodron, Dr. Reggie Ray, John Daido Loori, Jeffrey Hopkins, and many, many others are all part of our inventory.
