BROTHERTIGER --

Plus guests, TBA!
You can definitely get lost in the ethereal, funky good sounds of Brothertiger. Brothertiger is the brain child of John Jago, a Toledo, Ohio kid who creates ambient synth pop that is perfect for the beach or the San Francisco fog, despite the whole Ohio thing. High-energy, highly danceable, and catchy enough to stick in your brain after one listening, Brothertiger knows how to craft a good tune on record and on stage. Of course the first thing that comes to mind is the 80s-ness of it all, but there's more than that. It's a new spin on new wave, like Clive Tanaka or Painted Palms. It wouldn't at all be a stretch to mention Jesus and Mary Chain along with this band, due to the nonchalant but beautiful vocals on top of the fuzzy rock and roll meets pop instrumentals, nor would it be a stretch to name drop the Talking Heads. Brothertiger bounces around the synth wave genre's influences, but always lands on a sound that works. For years, John kept Brothertiger as a one man band, which is understandable for someone who's such a talented producer and composer. But the energy is totally palpable as a live act with a full band. Brothertiger as a live band adds another layer onto the already multi-layered music. Dreamy, dancy, full of sounds that will massage your ears, Brothertiger is a band you need to hear.
