Borrowing from a massive cache of influences, Brothers Gow, based in San Diego, CA, by way of Flagstaff, AZ, is a funk-rock-improv quintet that relies on thoughtful lyrics, deep grooves and improvisational tact to keep each show sounding fresh and unique. The band’s energetic stage presence combined with powerful vocal harmonies, complex arrangements, ripping guitar solos and the band’s awe-inspiring lighting makes each show memorable. Relentlessly touring and committed to their sound, they have criss-crossed most of the western United States since 2007, playing landmark venues such as Nectar's in Seattle, Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff, Rialto Theater in Tucson, The Top Hat in Missoula, Brick and Mortar in San Francisco and House of Blues in San Diego.

Brothers Gow, composed of Alex Gow Bastine (keys, vox), Carson Church (bass), Kyle Merrill (guitar, vox, trumpet), Ethan Wade (guitar, vox), and Nathan Walsh-Haines (drums, vox) serendipitously landed in the beautiful coastal city of Ocean Beach in San Diego where they were finally able to hone their true style & sound using the ocean as their inspiration. Their lighting designer and additional band member, Matt Collier (MC6), brings his own artistic nuance to add to the overall live experience. With a three tier intelligent lighting rig and advanced software, Collier uses texture and movement to create a truly dynamic and engaging light show.

Brothers Gow is poised and ready to make huge strides in 2014. They’ll be embarking on an extensive Summer Tour and are releasing their 4th album, Reflections, due out soon. The new album features a mix of uptempo ballads, proggy instrumentals, angelic harmonies and introspective lyrics meant to inspire loving what you do and doing what you love. Also to mention is the establishment of the Brothers Gow Foundation for Music Education and the opening of Ocean Beach Rock and Roll – an all ages school for the Ocean Beach community to be able to learn a multitude of instruments at any level!

Be on the lookout for this genre bending, eye dilating, groove modulating quintet that lives for the road and breathes for the show.
