Stylish fellows with a nose for good brand management, Brave Native are about as LA as you can get without being an actor/waiter. A falsetto worthy of disco jams is a big draw of this feel good group. Close your eyes while listening to Brave Native's charming tunes, and you can clearly see a choreographed dance number happening in a high school hallway. It's poppy, funky, and all around a blast to listen to. Keyboard tickler Chris hunkers down over his rig, and also adds some quality backing vocals and percussion to the funk rock while the rhythm section creates the rock and roll backbone. Singer Dante is adorable and channels his best Michael Jackson in order to get your body moving. The band even brings out a saxophonist when they really need to get the groove flowing. During the live set, Brave Native's passion is palpable. You can see and band's diverse influences: from modern electro-pop to old school soul to pure funk joy -- and let's not forget rock and roll.
