SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Plough & Stars (see times)
Please join us for a special Bluegrass Bonanza. This month's show features two of the Bay Area's best; including the all-new supergroup, Riley Hill & Brand New Still and the acousitc foot-stompin' duo version of The Bearcat Stringband.
*$2 Bud and $4 Bud Light all-night-long!*

RILEY HILL & BRAND NEW STILL (Bay Area)
Riley Hill has been performing bluegrass music on the West Coast since 2010. After a few years of playing and recording with his band The Cherry Pickers he decided to record his own album "Hard Times on Riley Hill" and put together a band of pickers experienced in the West Coast brand of traditional bluegrass and call it "Brand New Still".
The band includes David Thom (David Thom Band, Grateful Bluegrass Boys) on mandolin and tenor vocals, Ryan Breen (Windy Hill) on banjo and baritone vocals and the great Kyle McCabe (Windy Hill) on bass.

BEARCAT STRING DUO (East Bay)
The Bearcat Duo (Robin Fischer and Rowan McCallister) like to play old songs with a young attitude. Equally at home busking on a street corner or playing on stage at a Bluegrass festival, The Bearcat Duo energize audiences with a mix of rippin' old time fiddle tunes, traditional bluegrass numbers, rags, and songs with the sassiest lyrics they can dig up.
Robin and Rowan met as fill-in musicians at a bluegrass show in 2012 and having been making music together ever since. Robin Fischer plays fiddle, while Rowan McCallister switches between guitar, and clawhammer banjo.. They both sing. The Bearcat Duo stand out from other duo acts for their high-energy sets, and powerful drive. They have been making an name for themselves both in duo formation and with the full quartet The Bearcat Stringband
