Experimental post-rock band, Blood Party recorded their latest album with Sylvia Massey--famed producer of System of a Down and Tool. On "Why Won't You Hold Me Computer," Blood Party spin monumental, trance-inducing tunes. Massive riffs slash through vigorous drums, all of it immersed in a buzzing, ominous reverb. Blood Party mixes the psychedelic and the gigantic into a sound that would be an appropriate movie score for an earth-shaking battle between two ancient, skyscraper-sized, alien monsters. The band stitches their tsunamis of sound together with more delicate and catchy interludes, but at their core, Blood Party is about power.
