Bill Kreutzmann, founding member and drummer of the Grateful Dead, makes his long awaited return to San Francisco’s Warfield Theater. From returns to new beginnings, Kreutzmann’s band, Billy & The Kids, makes it long awaited SF debut at the Warfield on Saturday April 9. The band consists of a who’s who of amazing musicians: Aron Magner on keys (Disco Biscuits), Tommy Hamilton on guitar (JRAD, American Babies), and Reed Mathis on bass (Tea Leaf Green) round out this incredible lineup.

Coming off the seminal GD50 year, Bill Kreutzmann and his band has turned inspiration into reinterpretation with incredible results. Their headlining performances at LockN, Gathering of the Vibes, Peach Fest and Dear Jerry have proven the incredible Grateful Dead catalogue has the ability to evolve while capturing the magical essence that exist in all these songs. Billy's youthful exuberance is complemented by his "Kids" resulting in playful, creative and masterful improvisation. This show will mark the bands first performance on the west coast at a venue who's walls still resonate from epic Grateful Dead and Jerry Band shows.
