Following in the footsteps of his former bandleader/mentor Miles Davis, saxophonist Bill Evans has always pushed the envelope, presenting an adventurous and bold mix of jazz, rock, and pop elements, with a funky backbone. Evans stepped into more adventurous territory with his 2006 Grammy nominated release Soulgrass, blending jazz, funk, and bluegrass into a seamless and wholly unique hybrid of quintessentially American styles. The band’s 2011 Dragonfly album, continues to blend the intricacies of bluegrass and jazz with the attitude and power of rock. Special guests guitarist Steve Kimock (Zero) and violin/mandolin player Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth) lend their talent to this project. DANCE SPACE AVAILABLE!
