Year Six!
How exciting to announce our events for this year and to know that we are still gaining momentum after five years. We still have many of the same committee members from the very first days with an addition of some new talented memebers, not to mention wineries and chefs that have supported us year after year, and some hard-core supporters who have not missed a year! On top of this, those brave (some might even say foolhardy!) volunteers, who so lovingly and unflinchingly give of their time and energy.
It’s truly remarkable how the power of volunteerism works, and what is manifested by such generosity. If it were not for the dedication and skill of many of those who have stepped up to help us, we could not have managed to keep this event going. And we most certainly could not have had the opportunity to raise over $100,000 for the Big Sur community over the last five years, as well as being able to promote this area as a magical culinary destination.
We are also proud to be recognized by Trip Advisor as one of America’s finest food and wine events (http://www.flipkey.com/blog/2014/04/03/come-and-get-it-top-food-festivals-for-2014/). We could not be happier to receive this kind of accolade. Despite our size compared to other major events of this nature, we feel that we bring an honest and refreshing element to this genre.
So please do come and join us for this year, and be part of something magical, intimate and Big Sur Special! If you’ve been before, you know we’ll be changing it up as always, and if you haven’t been, then you’re in for a true rare treat.
