While traveling through Peru, I learned so many lessons about food, about cooking, about how beautiful and generous even the most meager meals can be, and myself (in those contexts). how even seemingly humble gestures (based on circumstance) are in truth, graciously grandiose. because that gesture alone, that soul for sharing, is where that magic is. I learned lessons that I'm still trying to make sense of, to pinpoint, to interpret it all somehow in words... but I don't think i'll ever be able to. this next dinner is the closest we'll ever get.
