THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Two iconic American works will be followed by an early masterpiece by a composer who became a naturalized American late in life.

The program is exceptionally rich in evoking stories and ideas from the world of Russian folktales to the classic Romeo and Juliet story set in modern New York City to the many films and public occasions that have featured Barber's Adagio for Strings. (The composer himself set this haunting work to the words of the Agnus Dei a few years before his death.)
