Description

Join us for a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the making of two popular, handmade animated films featuring the magic of stop motion: ParaNorman and Coraline. Mark Shapiro, director of entertainment brand marketing for LAIKA, will use time-lapse imagery and rare footage as he describes the major challenges involved in the production of these remarkable films, one of which was the first stop motion feature to be conceived and photographed in stereoscopic 3D.

This program is presented in conjunction with the special exhibition Between Frames: The Magic Behind Stop Motion Animation.

Adults $20, Children $15
