| Description The City of San José takes pride in being one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the country. The topic of immigration is a timely and topical one, and History San José (HSJ) will host a photo exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Services (SITES) while partnering with local high schools photography classes.
Becoming American: Teenagers & Immigration is an exhibition of photographs by Barbara Beirne, and was organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES). It will premiere in San José on January 12, 2008 at History Park. Developed by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the exhibition will travel around the country on a national tour through 2011, while making an important stop in San José for two months. It will be at HSJ through March 2, 2008. |
