Bay City Blues is our honorarium and exploration into the Blues genre, it is a special event in which we all get to help, share, & “Preserve the Blues."

About Chris Cain & Friends:

Chris Cain: Chris Cain's jazz-tinged, blues soaked guitar and deep, warm vocals have the maturity and authenticity of bluesmen many years his senior. His expressive style is the result of a lifetime of study and the relentless pursuit of music mastery. Through his guitar mastery and remarkable songwriting ability, Chris Cain has established himself as a musical force to be reckoned with. And as San Jose Mercury News music reviewer John Orr writes, "more than anyone else, anywhere, Chris Cain represents the future of the blues."

Steve Evans: San Francisco Bay Area musician Steve Evans is one of the most sought after bassists because of his ability to adapt his playing technique across a wide spectrum of musical genres. He has backed numerous icons of R&B including Etta James, Bo Diddley, Mary Wells, Charlie Musselwhite, Big Mama Thornton, Tracy Nelson, Lee Dorsey.

Mick Mestick: Most people know Mick Mestek for his work with Tower of Power, with whom he toured for three years and recorded the 1987 album "Power". But his resume certainly doesn't end there. Among Mick's many touring and recording credits include Etta James, Tracy Nelson, Buddy Miles, Pete Escovedo, Charlie Musselwhite, Omega, blues guitarists Tommy Castro, Daniel Castro, Ron Thompson.

Greg Rhan: Greg Rahn has played keyboards with a diverse range of artists from latin jazz greats Ray Obiedo, Pete Escovedo, Juan Escovedo and Roger Glenn to rock guitar legend Ronnie Montrose and blues guitar hero Chris Cain. A passionate composer and audio engineer, Greg's work can be heard on albums by Cake, The VW Brothers, Jim Chappel, C3 Fuzzion, and Pride & Joy, as well as over 165 video games such as Guitar Hero, Rugrats and Sponge Bob.
