"A transfixing tale of grief and violence, set in the shadows of the Iraq war." —NY Times.
Dying City is an intense, spare, emotionally raw account of the Iraq war and 9/11, told through the intimate tale of just three people (as portrayed by two actors on stage).
In many ways, it is a modern detective story where the audience figures out what's transpiring in the story moment by moment. We first met Peter, a gay movie star, and Kelly, the wife of Peter’s twin brother Craig, who has died in Iraq (Peter and Craig are played by the same actor).
We then travel back in time, meet Craig, and, in alternating scenes before and after his death, explore the tangled emotions, betrayal, and mystery within each of these people.
