Several Bay Area cities are planning events to celebrate Independence Day. Here are our picks on the best places to enjoy the fireworks around San Francisco: San Francisco Fourth of July Waterfront Festival featuring music by Mustache Harbor (3pm to 5pm) and Tainted Love (6pm to 9:30pm). Pier 39, Beach Street and Embarcadero. Fireworks at 9:30 pm; free. http://www.pier39.com Berkeley Fourth of July at Berkeley Marina. Noon to 10pm, entertainment, arts & crafts, free sailboat rides, and dragon boat rides from 2pm to 6pm. Free valet bicycle parking. No cars after 7pm. Fireworks at 9:30 pm; free. http://www.ci.berkeley.ca.us Mountain View Join the San Francisco Symphony at Shoreline Amphitheater for an evening of patriotic songs and marches and fireworks. Shoreline Amphitheatre, 1 Amphitheatre Pkwy., Mountain View. Performance begins at 8 pm; $24-$29.50. http://sfsymphony.org Napa Sneak off to wine country and enjoy fireworks at the Napa County Fair in Calistoga Fourth of July Celebration. 11am-10 pm. Live music, food, and parade. A free fireworks celebration will also be held in downtown Napa at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Fireworks at 9:30pm; free-$5. http://www.napavalley.com San Jose Independence Day Fireworks Show at Memorial Stadium with live country music. Free viewing is available at San Jose State University East Field, located next to Spartan Stadium. Parking is $8; fireworks at 9:30pm; free-$60. http://www.sjgiants.com San Rafael Fireworks daily July 1st to July 5th at Marin County Fair. Carnival rides, arts and crafts, farmers market, farm animals, horse shows, a petting zoo, science exhibits, and music. The fair is open from 11am to 11pm and the fireworks show starts at 9:30pm. Marin County Fairgrounds, San Rafael.
