We're bringing back one of techno’s most challenging and captivating acts, Pan-Pot, and we couldn't be more excited!
A duo consisting of Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, formed in Berlin, the epicenter of underground electronic music. Signed to the infamous Mobilee records by label boss Anja Schneider herself in 2005, they have since swiftly ascended to the upper echelons of the international electronic music scene. Consistently featuring in the highly revered Resident Advisor Top 100 poll every year. They’re one of the scenes most in demand acts, playing their trademark pitch-black techno at the most forward thinking clubs and events. Be it at their residency at Berlin’s legendary Watergate, Belgium’s Fuse, Sven Vath’s awe inspiring Cocoon club in Frankfurt, London’s trend setting Eastern Electrics or the mighty Awakenings festival in Amsterdam. Their willingness to expand the components of their productions while staying firmly rooted in what they do best—colossal, haunting techno tracks overflowing with noise and static, throbbing bass lines, and epic builds that manage to be both tasteful and restrained—is only part of what differentiates Pan-Pot from the hordes of other techno producers currently flooding the airwaves. They may name themselves after a piece of gear, but Pan-Pot’s music is ultimately about moving bodies, not knobs, all the while giving way to an unprecedented degree of dynamism on dance floors around the world.
