Few people are more synonymous with deep and tech house than Matthias Tanzmann. Ever since first emerging from his native Leipzig in the mid nineties, the German producer, DJ and label boss has helped to define and redefine the genres through his releases on his own label Moon Harbour and his much talked about DJ sets.
BASE:
BASE Italy Underground is the weekly house music party that started in 2005 at the legendary club Pink. Founded by Alessandro Iacobelli, BASE is an event that that features the world’s most sought after DJ’s as well as underground producers. Alessandro’s mission was to bring people together and create an outlet for Tech House Music–a genre that was storming throughout Europe during the 1990′s. Driven by his passion for the music and personal interest for event production, Alessandro created a breakout smash hit in the nightlife scene–BASE Italy Underground! With an emphasis on high energy and cutting edge music, Base paved the way for Tech House in San Francisco. Almost 10 years later BASE is still going strong and continues to promote the world’s most exciting artists.
