Barrel Room SF Hosts Louis-Antoine Luyt Wine Paired Dinner
The Barrel Room San Francisco hosts an October 5 wine paired dinner 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with special guest Louis-Antoine Luyt. The restaurant will be serving an $85.00 five-course prix fixe menu. The flight of wines by the glass to be served with the meal will also be offered for sale separate from the food for $22.00.
Burgundian via Chile winemaker Louis-Antoine Luyt's wines center around a natural philosophy that makes for some of the most unique wines available. Especially know for his work with old-vine pais, he has influenced a contemporary community of small producers and helped create the new face of Chilean wine.
Proprietors/sommeliers Sarah Trubnick and Carolyn Johnson, along with Managing Partner Stephen Deyton, opened The Barrel Room San Francisco on Sansome Street in May of 2015. At The Barrel Room, there is an emphasis on educational tasting flights and a wine-friendly food menus by Chefs Manuel Hewitt that vary on a quarterly basis with regional focuses that will include, but not be limited to, Latin America (the debut focus), France, Germany, Austria, Italy and the United States.
The Barrel Room San Francisco is located at 415 Sansome Street, between Sacramento and Clay. The restaurant is open for lunch (beginning May 11) Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 pm., and for dinner Monday through Saturday from 5:00 to 10:30 pm.
