Meet at the Schoolhouse Monument at Portsmouth Square (southwest corner of the Square along Clay Street) and cover San Francisco’s original shoreline and the Jackson Square historic district. This spot is the birthplace of the Gold Rush and the village of Yerba Buena. From here, go down Commercial Street to the original shoreline and then visit Jackson Square.
