B.A.D. Space Gallery Presents Pia MYrvoLD – HYBRID LOVE Exhibition

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at B.A.D. Space Gallery (see times)
B.A.D. Space Gallery has announced its inaugural exhibition: Pia MYrvoLD HYBRID LOVE. Created to introduce MYrvoLD’s work – including her ARCHIVE Collection, MODULARS, and COLOSS ISLAND SHIELDS – to San Francisco, HYBRID LOVE focuses on the artist’s technique of merging information in a multidisciplinary art philosophy. A collaboration between MYrvoLD and B.A.D. Space founder Breanna de Geere, the exhibition aims to fully capture the artist’s diversity of skills.

Curated by de Geere, the ARCHIVE Collection is comprised of twenty designs from MYrvoLD’s archive, all originally presented at the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture between 1994 and 2003. Each style has been produced as a limited edition fashion collectible, sewn in San Francisco and Paris to bring artistically-crafted concept clothes to the discerning woman through the interplay of fashion and art.

The MODULARS, a limited edition collection of nine different carpet designs, which began as a collaboration between MYrvoLD and the architecture firm Snøhetta.

Three COLOSS ISLAND SHIELDS will be shown as wall sculpture. Using video and art recently shown in Centre Pompidou, PACE Beijing, and the New York Times Art for Tomorrow Conference, MYrvoLD will create a multi-surface installation.

The mission of the B.A.D. Space Gallery is to fuse fashion, art, and design together with technology and new innovations. Working with both a local and global perspective, the gallery seeks to integrate local production with international talent.

Open to the public on Thursday, April 28 through June 26 at 2360 3rd Street in San Francisco

Hours:
Monday - Friday 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
