Awakened Beings

SEE EVENT DETAILS
"Awakened Beings" an exhibit by Chloe La Bare mixed media.
Chloe La Bare's experiments with watercolor ink dipped fabric and metallic paint yield abstract compositions that seem to morph and transform before the viewers eyes. La Bare's explorations into themes of transformation and regeneration will be accompanied by a special opening night with Premiere original storytelling by Alicia Dattner and Musical performances by songwriter Aliza Hava.

About the Exhibit
Awakened Beings
This series of mixed media works are the result of my experiments with a new painting technique involving fabric, fluid watercolor inks and metallic paint. Through this very organic process, a series of pieces emerged that took on a life of their own. Like spirits escaping from a fire, like ancient beings drawn on the walls of a cave - they appear to share a quality of vibrance and changeable essence of Awakened Beings. http://www.chloelabart.com/ink.html

About the Performers
Alicia Dattner
An internationally-acclaimed, award-winning performer, Alicia Dattner was recently voted “Best Comedian″ in the San Francisco Weekly. As regular meditator (well, mostly regular) and yogini, Alicia loves guiding people awakening to humor, play, and liberated self-expression. She performs around the world and teaches solo performance classes in Oakland.
She is excited to share these new stories. More at https://www.aliciadattner.com

Aliza Hava
"Spiritual, socially conscious folk and femme rock..." The Jerusalem Post
Aliza Hava is a breathtaking performer, her introspective lyrics explore the deepest levels of love, life, spirituality, and the importance of positive social change. She has shared the stage with celebrated artists such as Michael Franti, Dr.John, Derek Trucks, Woodstock legend Richie Havens and more. She is also a recipient of the 2014 Human Spirit Award presented by Talent for Humanity. Visit her online at https://www.alizahava.com
