A dinner performance featuring select winners from the past decade along with recipients of the 2016 award demonstrates the accomplishments of the talented, passionate, and hard-working Avanti artists.
Featured performers from the past decade include: opera soprano Elizabeth Hertzberg, violinist Kenneth Renshaw, cellist Juan David Mejia, and singer Preston Powis. 2016 winners returning to perform and tell the audience what they did with their grants are: cellist Matthew Linaman, singer Madelaine Matej, and guitarist Andrew Sandahl.
The Brucia children called the awards "Avanti" meaning "to go forth," taken from a poem written by their father.
