Join the Arts Habitat as they present an evening with Bob Phillips at the Museum of Monterey as part of their "Arts in Progress" series. Bob Phillips has been an important member of the emergent jazz scene, playing night clubs in Greenwich village in the 1950's. Throughout his sixty year career as a formidable musician playing at Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Gardens, Hotel Astor, and The Waldorf Astoria during the height of the jazz era, the central coast has been his home for 30 years, where he currently teaches and continues to play, and is a regular at the Monterey Jazz Festival. For this event, Bob will give a short talk about making music a career and his current sound, along with a demonstration with guest vocalist Anna Lambourne.
