An Integrative Approach to ADHD

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at UCSF Mount Zion Campus (see times)
Please join us on Thursday, May 8 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm for a free Lunchtime Lecture with renowned integrative pediatrician Dr. Sanford Newmark, who will be speaking on:

“An Integrative Approach to ADHD”
In this lecture, you will learn the importance of the Integrative Approach – seeing the child in the context of his/her family, friends, school and community, rather than as a set of symptoms that need to be fixed. Topics will include a discussion of the reasons for the apparent ‘epidemic’ of ADHD and the problems of accurate diagnosis, as well as the benefits and risks of ADHD medications. Dr. Newmark will then discuss non-pharmaceutical therapies, including:

Nutrition
Food sensitivities
Vitamin and mineral supplements
Parenting skills
School intervention and
Other complementary therapies.

Learn more about our Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics practice and Dr. Newmark’s book, ADHD Without Drugs: A Guide to the Natural Care of Children with ADHD, soon to be available as an e-book.

Location:
UCSF Mount Zion Herbst Hall
1600 Divisadero Street
San Francisco, CA 94115
415-353-7700

IMPORTANT: This lecture is free, but please RSVP, as we expect it to reach capacity.
