Rabbi Telushkin will speak about his latest book, "Rebbe," a biography of Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, the founder of Chabad-Lubavich.
Noted as one of the most prolific and respected interpreters of Judaism in the United States, Rabbi Telushkin is the author of more than 15 books about Jewish ethics and Jewish Literacy. Since 1997, he has been on Newsweek's list of the 50 most influential rabbis in America, and was named by Talk Magazine as one of the 50 best speakers in the United States.
His book, "Words that Hurt, Words that Heal," became the motivating force behind Senators Joseph Lieberman and Connie Mack’s 1996 Senate Resolution # 151 to establish a “National Speak No Evil Day†throughout the United States.
Rabbi Telushkin serves as a spiritual leader of Los Angeles’ Synagogue for the Performing Arts. He is an associate of the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership and a former director of education at the non-denominational Brandeis-Bardin Institute. Rabbi Telushkin is also a senior associate with CLAL, the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, and is a member of the board of directors of the Jewish Book Council.
