Everyone knows comedians have “issues,” but thankfully help is on the way when comedian/writer/producer Jonathan Katz returns to the couch for two rare evenings of comic therapy with guest patients Bob Odenkirk, Maria Bamford, Andy Kindler, Eugene Mirman and his animated son, Ben, played by Jon Benjamin. Jonathan Katz co-created and starred in the hit animated series Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist, which ran for six seasons on Comedy Central, winning an Emmy, a Peabody and two Cable Ace Awards. Bob Odenkirk is an SF Sketchfest regular and the co-creator of HBO’s Mr. Show. Maria Bamford is one of Comedy Central’s Comedians of Comedy and appeared at last year’s festival on Match Game. Andy Kindler is a regular on The Late Show with David Letterman and has contributed to The Daily Show. Eugene Mirman is an SF Sketchfest favorite who plays Eugene on Flight of the Conchords. Jon Benjamin has appeared at the festival with Tinkle and The Red Wine Boys and played the talking can of vegetables in Wet Hot American Summer.
