SF Station Blows It Up

1. Egyptian Lover @ Mezzanine, San Francisco, July 11, 2008

Last Friday night Mezzanine brought it way back with Nucleus and Egyptian Lover for a hell of a dance party. Both artists threw down some great beats and made the entire place shake from the dancing they inspired. All the cool kids came out for this 80s revival and so should you if you get a chance.

2. The Police @ Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, July 14, 2008

Coming to Shoreline Amphitheater last Monday night I was looking forward to seeing The Police and Elvis Costello and, man, did I and the other 22,000+ people get a treat! Elvis starting off the night with some amazing tunes that made all scream. But once Sting and the boys hit the stage the crowd went ballistic; getting to hear their favorite tunes and to dance under the moonlight was amazing. I will also say The Police put on a hell of a visual show.

3. Birdmonster @ Black Swan Wines presents "Itís Pop, itís Art", San Francisco, July 15, 2008

It's always nice to see a local band do good and on Tuesday night I saw just that watching Birdmonster do a mini set at Black Swan Wines in the Mission. The boys played tunes from their upcoming album From The Mountain To The Sea coming out on the Fader label on August 5th. Those of us lucky enough to be there got see and hear all these tunes while enjoying some cool art and sipping some good wine.
