Merchants of Reality presents All We Have is Time, a solo exhibition by Jessy Gaumann. Recently experiencing a vast disconnection from her own body, Jessy began to explore a larger rift she has been witnessing between humans and our environment. Through her mixed media works, Jessy dives into the depths of the ocean to take a closer look at how the natural processes of our oceans are changing faster than ever before.
Many of us think of the ocean as an endless expanse, but the reality is that no part of it is free from anthropogenic ocean acidification. The difference between this and other environmental problems is that we have the knowledge needed to begin to solve this one. As time and tide wait for no man or woman, Jessy’s hope is that we act now.
Please join us on Friday, September 23rd for the opening reception from 7-11pm. There will be live music by Shannon Bodrogi, Rob Carter and Maverick Watson as well as a small exhibit by featured guest artist, Emelia Loomis. Light refreshments will be provided.
