Five years after their original frontman, Layne Staley, died of a drug overdose, Alice in Chains made an unlikely return in 2007. Surviving band members Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez, and Sean Kinney recruited frontman William DuVall to join the group, first for some well-received concerts, then to go on tour. Next came a new album, 2009's "Black Gives Way To Blue," which got glowing reviews, entered The Billboard 200 at No. 5, and led to more shows with fast-moving tickets. In 2013, the band released their second post-Staley album, this time reaching No. 2 on The Billboard 200. The only AIC album to chart higher was 1995's self-titled set -- the band's last with Staley -- which reached No. 1.

Alice in Chains' dark take on rock emerged from the same late '80s Seattle scene that also spawned fellow grunge acts Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, among others. With Staley at the helm, the band recorded rock radio staples like "Rooster," "Heaven Beside You," "Got Me Wrong," and "Would?" The band has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards -- including two with DuVall on the mic -- but so far haven't won an award.

Hard rock legends Korn and Alice in Chains announced an epic co-headline amphitheater tour across North America in the summer of 2019. Underoath joins as special guest on all dates, with Ho99o9 and FEVER 333 opening on select dates.

Breaking Benjamin

One listen to Breaking Benjamin's newest album Dark Before Dawn and it becomes clear that time away from the music world hasn't caused them to miss a beat. Upon release, Dark Before Dawn debuted No. 1 on Billboard Top 200 album chart, a first for the multi-platinum band, while their first single Failure spent 8 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on rock radio. The band's sound is noticeably more invigorated, energetic, and purposeful than ever and marks a new era featuring founder/frontman Ben Burnley working with guitarists Jasen Rauch (RED) and Keith Wallen (Adelitas Way), bassist Aaron Bruch, and drummer Shaun Foist (Picture Me Broken.) The result is simultaneously vintage Breaking Benjamin yet decisively more cohesive.

Over the past decade Breaking Benjamin has achieved worldwide success through their chart-topping music and their electrifying live performances and in the process the band has amassed a sizeable and diehard fan base (over 5.7 million likes on Facebook, 220,000+ followers on Twitter.) And its the fans that ultimately fuel Burnley. "The band has always really been about the fans to me" says Burnley. Thats who comes first to me, and thats what its all about. Theres nothing that matters more than that to me, and so I'm just happy I'm able to give them the best they can possibly get."

Breaking Benjamin's discography includes 2002 Saturate, 2004 We Are Not Alone, 2006 Phobia, and 2009s Dear Agony. The second two, We Are Not Alone and Phobia yielded spectacular results with each being certified Platinum. We Are Not Alone spawned a pair of No. 1 radio hits (Cold and Sooner Or Later) and sold 2.3 million units (albums and digital tracks). Phobia debuted at No. 2 on Billboards Top 200, hit No. 1 on the Rock Album Chart, and was one of the top 50 selling rock albums of 2006. It featured one No. 1 and two Top 5 rock radio hits (Breath, Diary of Jane and Until The End) and sold 2.8 million units (albums and digital tracks). 2009s Dear Agony debuted No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart on one of the busiest release days of the year and also reached No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Album Chart. Dear Agony also spun off the platinum-selling No. 1 song Active Rock single I Will Not Bow, which stayed at No. 1 for five weeks straight while the album itself was certified Gold, selling more than 500K copies.

Dark Before Dawn was released in 2015 to another No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart, spawning the chart-topping rock radio hits "Failure" and "Angels Fall."

Bush
https://bush2020.section101.com/music

Bush -- named after the London neighborhood Shepherd's Bush -- was one of the biggest alternative rock bands of the 1990s. That's in large part due to the group's frontman, Gavin Rossdale, a charismatic vocalist whose good looks and mellifluous voice -- he veered easily from angsty crooning to tenacious rock growls -- gave the band welcome depth.

Live, Rossdale is still dynamic, and the rest of the band bolsters his singing by tossing off heavy riffs or exhibiting restraint on hits like "Glycerine." On the heels of 2017's Black and White Rainbows album, Bush hit the road. In 2018, the group headlined the Revolution 3 Tour alongside fellow heavyweights Stone Temple Pilots and The Cult, while 2019 saw the group touring as part of The ALT-imate Tour with LIVE and Our Lady Peace.
