Stevens Books is offering FREE drawing classes this summer for adults! Adults over the age of 18 will learn the specialty of comics and manga under the guidance of John Heebink.
The COMICS & MANGA class is offered to ages 18 and up. However, younger artists will be admitted by instructor permission only. Please bring your own pencil and paper. Otherwise supplies will be for sale in store. Four Saturday evening sessions will be available with limited space. The dates are as followed: July 2nd, July 9th, July 30th, and August 6th from 5-7 pm.
Whether you are looking for a new hobby or looking to refine your drawing skills, come on out for a time of FREE fun and learning!
About the Artist
JOHN HEEBINK has worked as a cartoonist for websites, coloring books, and comic books. As a teacher at the Academy of Art, he has taught kids from all over the world. In addition, he can draw any Disney character you can name! He has been working in comics since 1990, mainly as a penciler or inker. His current project is Stuart Moore's "Out with a Bang" for the new online comic publisher and app Stēla. His credits include: the first two runs of Power Rangers, Nick Fury, Quasar, a long run on Elvira, Rick Remender's Doll and Creature, and Peter David's Soulsearchers & Co.
