Adria Amenti

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Adria Amenti is a singer, pianist and harpist who has been performing for over two decades. Her music draws influence from art rock, darkwave, jazz and pop and incorporates elements of free improvisation, calling to mind a darkly sensual cross of Kate Bush, PJ Harvey and Siouxsie Sioux. Adria performed throughout the West Coast with Drop Black Sky, an ethereal darkwave band, from 2003 until 2012. Aside from solo work, her current projects include Trap The Happy Thoughts (cinematic dreampop and lush orchestration with guitarist and composer Josh Hertel, formerly of Ethereal Slave), Verdandia (an improvisational duo with omni-faceted violin adept Alison Bailey Streich, formerly of Golden Bough) and Sonic Forest (an improvisational jazz-influenced quartet with renowned oboist Brenda Schuman-Post and master jazz drummer E.W. Wainwright on percussion).
