ADAM DEITCH
(Pretty Lights, Lettuce, Fugees)
While other kids were more interested in "Being Like Mike," Adam Deitch was more interested in "Being Like Quincy." Producer drummer Adam Deitch recalls, "It was around the age of 10, after I had been playing drums for 8 years, my mother told me my drumming skills along with my knowledge of melody and harmony would lead me to producing records for people". Having guitars, pianos, basses, recording equipment, synthesizers, and two parents who wrote music and sang all the time didn't hurt either.

Adam began composing around the age of 11 with his Dad's Ensoniq ESQ1 keyboard--one of the 1st keyboard/sequencers making beats that ranged from hip hop, pop, R&B, gospel, jazz and fusion. Pretty soon artists in the neighborhood came knocking. "The tapes I was making at home were passed around at school, and the best artists from the area started coming by the studio." It was this early experience as a songwriter and a producer that have given Adam the wide spectrum of experience and influences that he brings to his work.

Being a drummer in so many different kinds of bands gave me an insight to how different kinds of music worked -- from the instrumentation to the type of amps, strings, heads, mics, to lyrics. Adam Deitch’s career has crossed genres and he plays the role of both producer and drummer. Adam was inspired by hip-hop at an early age, inspired by Public Enemy and Eric B and Rakim. Adam has produced records for such luminaries as 50-Cent, Redman, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Chali 2na and MF Doom. He has also done major session work on drums for artists including Justin Timberlake, Daniel Bedingfield, Anthony Hamilton, DJ Quik and Wyclef Jean and the Fugees. Adam has toured the world and recorded as a member of the Grammy Nominated John Scofield Band, Pretty Lights, the Average White Band, The Fugees, Wyclef Jean, Meshell Ndegeocello and his own Break Science and Lettuce.

Recent highlights include a Grammy nomination for Ledisi's Turn Me Loose for which Adam produced and co-wrote two songs, co-writing and production for Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi's Sony debut, production of two tracks on Matisyahu's latest and a platinum single for Italian rap sensation Fabri Fibra.

WIL BLADES
Since he was 19 years young, Wil has been with the Boom Boom Room and it has been a relationship of collaboration and creativity that has propelled him to music greatness and notoriety.
Boom Boom Room is where Wil truly came into his own as one of the world's greatest Hammond B-3 organists of our time.
At Boom Boom Room, the young Wil Blades and his phenomenal talent was immediately recognized and his musical career fostered: with the BBR introducing major players from across the spectrum to Wil and developing numerous projects and collaborations that would spotlight this burgeoning B-3 star.
BBR introduced this young talent to living legends of the Blues and Jazz realm: facilitating Wil's first ever performances with "Greats" such as John Lee Hooker, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Melvin Sparks, Fred Wesley and Idris Muhammad (on the Boom Boom Room's stage). Wil is Boom Boom Room family.
BBR has showcased Wil's diverse skills as an exceptional musician by creating bands such as Steppin' with Oscar Myers, joining Wil with the great Will Bernard, joining Wil with New Orleans' drummer Stanton Moore, Wil performing with Eric Krasno (of Soulive), travelling to New Orleans to perform with a plethora of high profile jazz and funk musicians during Jazz Fest, etc.
From cookin’ with Blues legend John Lee Hooker, organ summits with B-3 master Dr. Lonnie Smith, television and radio appearances, Wil Blades is gaining critical acclaim and international recognition. Blades, a native Chicagoan, has become the San Francisco Bay Area’s first call organist and is rapidly gaining momentum internationally. He has been named “Rising Star” for organ in the Downbeat critics poll every year since 2006. Wil has been wowing audiences with groups such as “O.G.D.,” “Amendola Vs. Blades”, “Stanton Moore Trio”, “Steppin”, "W-Beez" and Billy Martin Wil Blades Duo". In 2007 Blades released his much anticipated debut record, “Sketchy”, on Doodlin’ Records. In addition to performing with legendary artists such as John Lee Hooker and Dr. Lonnie Smith, Wil has performed and recorded with Melvin Sparks, Idris Muhammad, Joe Louis Walker, Don Braden, Donald Harrison, Nicholas Payton, Karl Denson, Will Bernard, Scott Amendola, Charlie Hunter, Stanton Moore, Billy Martin, Anders Osborne, Jason Marsalis, Herlin Riley, Betty Joplin, Eddie Marshall, Herbie Lewis, and many others.

Born in 1979, Wil began playing drums at the age of 8, guitar at 13, and then found his true calling on Hammond B-3 at 19. While studying Jazz at New College of California with bassist Herbie Lewis, Wil landed weekly gigs at John Lee Hooker’s Boom Boom Room in San Francisco. Barely of legal age, veteran musicians, such as trumpeter Oscar Myers, took him under their wings. Being self-taught on organ, the weekly gigs proved to be the best lessons of all. In the years since, Wil has received tutelage from Jazz Organ master, Dr. Lonnie Smith. “Yeah, he does it...he’s on it. He is the future to carry on the legend, the legacy of the organ, [of] the B-3.”

Wil has kept the traditional sounds of Jimmy Smith, Larry Young, and “Groove” Holmes alive, while creating a more personal, modern sound. In Wil’s words, “I feel indebted to the tradition and masters of the Hammond Organ, but while trying to keep it going, I’m also focused on bringing my contemporary influences to the table.” His playing is rhythmic, funky and bluesy, yet his original compositions are harmonically intriguing and unique.

Wil currently leads his own groups around the San Francisco Bay Area, tours internationally and is dedicating his time to teaching the Hammond B-3 Organ privately. Current musical collaborations include groups with guitarist Will Bernard, Stanton Moore Trio and two different duo projects with drummers Scott Amendola and Billy Martin. Billy Martin and Wil Blades Duo debut record, “Shimmy”, is now out on Amulet/Royal Potato Family Records.

SHADY HORNS
(Soulive, Lettuce)

Led by original founding member Ryan Zoidis (Saxes), the "Shady Horns" consist of Eric Bloom (Trumpet), James Casey (Tenor Sax), Brian Thomas (Trombone), Rashaawn Ross (Trumpet), and on special occasion original member Sam Kininger (Alto Sax).
