Sunnyvale.net editorial review: The centerpiece of downtown Sunnyvale’s Murphy Avenue downtown district, the Abyss nightclub is a gorgeous entertainment venue with three levels and two bars. Neoclassical columns, spinning mirrored sculptures and and an LED-illuminated chandelier give the Abyss a rich, eclectic feel. The glassed-in VIP area on the upper level provides a crow's nest view of the large dance floor. With one of Silicon Valley's better sound and light setups, club Abyss stays busy on weekends. The restaurant serves light bites like spicy chicken wings and Asian flavored dishes such as shrimp roll, a seasoned pork "shaking beef" and Korean BBQ skewered pork.
